Buying a Dehumidifier? | LOOK OUT FOR THESE THINGS! #video
In my last video post, I shared about how the hot and humid weather triggered an eczema flare up.
As a solution, we purchased a portable dehumidifier which not only helped the flare up subside, but made the summer A LOT more comfortable.
Before buying the dehumidifier, I did a lot of research on the dehumidifiers available on the market.
So I decided to make a video to share with you the things we looked out for when shopping for a dehumidifier – hopefully if you are looking to buy a dehumidifier, it would give you a perspective.
You can click on the above video to watch.
Some of you asked me about which dehumidifier I ended up getting.
This is the one I got: Danby 50 Pint Dehumidifier – DDR050BLBDB-ME
DETAILS NOT MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO:
- Click here for Energy Star Website to Look Up IEF number of Dehumidifiers
- Regarding safety certifications, I realized that most dehumidifiers don’t mention their safety certification details on their website or in the product manual. So what I did was to look up the dehumidifier models on the UL website directly (since most dehumidifiers certify with UL). You can search using the brand. for example “DANBY Dehumidifier”, select USA or Canada, then look up all the models numbers that are certified.
