Savory Crackers – Gluten free & Vegan

These crackers are delicious, healthy and extremely easy to make with easy clean up. No mixer required – consider giving it a try!
INGREDIENTS (1 serving):
- 45g cassava flour
- 6g whole flax seeds
- 1/8 tsp fine salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp baking soda
- 1/8 tsp cream of tartar*
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 20g olive oil
- 27g cold filtered water
*you can substitute cream of tartar with baking powder
METHOD:
- Preheat oven to 300F/150C.
- In a large bowl, add dry ingredients: cassava flour, flax seeds, salt, garlic powder, baking soda, cream of tartar and dried oregano. Mix.
- Add olive oil and water into the dry ingredients.
- Use a spatula to mix the ingredients until a dough ball is formed.
- On large piece of parchment paper, shape the dough ball into a flat square.
- Place another piece of parchment paper on top.
- Use a rolling pin and roll it out until its 1/8 inch thick.
- Discard the top parchment paper.
- Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut into 1 inch squares.
- Slide the parchment paper with the cut squares onto a baking tray.
- Bake for 35-40 mins in a preheated oven.
- Let it cool – the crackers should easily crack into 1 inch square crackers.
- Ready to eat!
These crackers make a great snack or pairs well with soup.
